Department of Sport, Arts and Culture Minister Mr Zizi Kodwa will lead the South African delegation to the IX St Petersburg International Cultural Forum. Also known as the Forum of United Cultures, this gathering takes place on 16 to 18 November 2023 in St Petersburg, Russia.
The Forum will see leading cultural stakeholders and government leaders exchanging ideas and deliberate on matters relating to the development of the modern cultural environment.
South Africa will advance the importance of enhancing cultural diplomacy, deepening collaboration in arts and culture, and promoting knowledge sharing and people to people engagements.
On the sidelines of this Forum, Minister Kodwa will also have a bilateral meeting with the Russian Federation Minister of Culture Ms Olga Lyubimova.
