Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa attends SPLM unity talks in Arusha, Tanzania, 21 Jan

South African Deputy President in his capacity as Special Envoy to Sudan, Cyril Ramaphosa will tomorrow, Wednesday 21 January 2015 pay a working visit to the Republic of Tanzania to represent President Jacob Zuma during the unity talks among members and leaders of Sudan's People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) scheduled for Arusha.

During the visit, Deputy President Ramaphosa will participate and bear witness to the signing of a unity agreement between different sections of the SPLM. The unity agreement was facilitated by the ANC, Chama-cha Mapinduzi of Tanzania and National Resistance Movement of Uganda.

Deputy President Ramaphosa is expected to return to South Africa later on Wednesday 21 January 2015.
