Veteran journalist Mathatha Tsedu and struggle Stalwart Barbara Masekela to give a public lecture on “The struggle to report in the apartheid era”

Theme: “Lest we forget: Celebrating the liberation heritage”.

Gauteng Legislature will be hosting a public lecture as art of celebtation of the heritage month. Two distinguished individuals will be delivering papers on this day. The first one is veteran journalist Mathatha Tsedu who will be delivering a paper on the “The struggle to report in the apartheid era”.

Lastly the main guest speaker for the lecturer will be addressed by struggle veteran, Barbara Masekela. She will be taking us through the history of our struggles particularly those struggles waged in the cultural front. She will chronicle the lessons learnt and the relevance of those lessons in the context of the current South African political landscape.
