What: Ultrasound Guided Anaesthesia Regional Workshop

Who: Guest from USA, Dr Robert Raw, world-renowned expert on ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia.
Local delegates - Dr. Henk van Rooyen, Anthony Travers, Maria Reyneke, Lambertus van der Nest, Johannes van der Westhuizen, Cobus Louw, Edwin Turton.
Why: The workshop is aimed at private and public anaesthetists from Motheo Region to update them with the latest technology and techniques.
How: Dr Robert Raw, will present a lecture on ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia. After this the attendees will get hands on training by operating under his guidance on patients on a waiting list at Pelonomi Regional Hospital. It is expected that about 30 additional operations will be done during the workshop.
