Third Biennial South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association conference

Theme: M&E 4 Outcomes: Answering the 'So What?' Question

The South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association (SAMEA) and the Public Service Commission (PSC) will co-host the third Biennial South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association conference.

Date: 5 to 9 September 2011
Venue: Emperors Palace Conference Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa

The conference aims, amongst others, to:

  • Produce a premier M&E event that galvanizes M&E expertise, in order to enhance performance and the delivery of development results and to deepen transparency and accountability in the country and region
  • Build capacity for M&E on contemporary theories and tools, by providing a platform for local and international M&E experts to address and engage delegates
  • Create a platform for synergies around M&E.

The organisers of the conference take pleasure in inviting you to present a pre-conference workshop, and/or a paper, round table or poster proposal.

Professor David Fetterman of Stanford University, a leading evaluation author, theorist and practitioner through his ground breaking work in empowerment evaluation will deliver a key note address and offer a workshop in evaluation.
