This convention is an initiative of the SAPS Human Resource Division. It is but an area of improvement embedded in the overall academic career development programs of the SAPS. Enrollment of the members in such programs has a valuable contribution towards organisational skills and academic development programs.
Bi-annually, the division Human Resource Management (HRM) identifies training needs to gleam up the skills of the Human Resource Development (HRD) Trainers / Education, Training and Development Practitioners. Those skills are linked to current practices in terms of international educational standards. This year the focus will be on:
- New rank structure in SAPS
- Problem based training and Education Training and Development (ETD)
- Philosophy with emphasis on monitoring and evaluation
- Crime Scene Management.
