The Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature shall hold its annual “Taking Legislature to the People” sitting outside the Legislature precincts. The programme is part of the Legislature's commitment to strengthen participatory democracy in the province.
This sitting shall give Members of the Provincial Legislature (MPL’s) an understanding of the realities on the ground through direct interaction with the public.
Prior to the sitting, various Legislature Portfolio Committees conducted oversight visits to the Kouga municipality. These Committees are expected to table their reports for debate during the House Sitting.
