Take a Girl Child to Work day

The Department of Water Affairs in partnership with Cell C and Lepelle-Northern Water has organised a Take a girl child to work day for the province’s secondary school learners. The event involves 50 female learners from 15 schools in Limpopo Province.

Take a Girl Child to Work Campaign is an annual corporate social investment campaign, which was introduced nine years ago by the cellular network Cell C. This initiative aims to address the under representation of women in the formal employment sector. The campaign targets learners from Grade 10 -12, usually from disadvantaged backgrounds, to spend a day at a place of work for experiential purposes.

Participants and their schools will be presented with certificates for having participated in the campaign.
