The Gauteng Department of Community Safety will tomorrow, 25 May 2012, conduct a Crime Awareness Road Show in Palm Springs, Sedibeng region. The purpose of the road show is to create awareness and educate the community on issues of safety. The focus will be on substance abuse, house robbery, theft out of motor vehicle, car theft.
The event will commence with the briefing session at Evaton Police Station, where the stakeholders will be give an overview of crime and safety in the area at 09h00 - 09h30
The following hotspots will be visited:
- Section B Ground between 10h00 - 10h30
- Section C Ground 10h30 - 11h00
- Section H Bakery 11h00 - 11h30
- Section I, J and K 11h30 - 12h30
Members of the public can sms the following keywords to 32026;
- “Police” for any police compliment or complaint
- “Bribe” if you are requested to pay a bribe or know someone who was involved in bribery
- “Abuse” for any domestic violence cases
