The Minister of Science and Technology (DST), Derek Hanekom, will table the Department of Science and Technology's 2013/14 budget on Thursday, 16 May 2013. He will highlight the department's key focus areas for the financial year.
This will be followed by a press briefing on Friday, 17 May, at which Mr Hanekom and the Managing Director of BMW SA, Mr Bodo Donauer, will announce an innovative collaboration between the department and BMW SA.
The public will get an opportunity to experience "science at work" on both the Thursday and the Friday, with some of the best projects of the DST's entities on exhibition at the Iziko SA Museum.
