The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) will mark Mandela Day with a special performance from the National Ceremonial Guard Band at Church Square, Pretoria on Friday, 17 July 2009 at 10h00.
The National Ceremonial Guard Band will entertain passers by at Church Square for over an hour with military and other popular music.
Other SANDF units and members will mark Mandela Day in their own special way by embarking on special projects, or joining other established Mandela Day initiatives.
The SANDF joins millions of proud South Africans and many millions more from around the world in saluting Nelson Mandela. Happy birthday Madiba, may you see ninety-one more.
