Members of the media are invited to a press conference that will focus on the collaboration of the South African Legislative Sector and the Memorandum of Understanding to be signed between Parliament and the nine provincial legislatures.
The press conference will follow the:
* Opening address by Chairperson of the Speakers’ Forum and Parliament’s National Assembly Speaker Mr Max Sisulu
* Remarks and introduction by Ambassador and Head of Delegation of the European Union to South Africa Mr Lodewijk Briët or Mr Koos Richelle, Director General: EuropeAid Cooperation Office, European Commission Brussels
* Address by Mr Koos Richelle on supporting and strengthening of the South African Legislative Sector capacity
* Signing of the memorandum of understanding by South African legislatures.
The press conference will be chaired by the Secretary to Parliament Mr Zingile Dingani and will involve Mr Max Sisulu, Mr Mninwa Mahlangu, Ms Lindiwe Maseko, Ms Peggy Nkonyeni, Mr Johannes van Wyk, Mr Sipho Lubisi, Mr Koos Richelle, Mr Lodewijk Briët and Mr Gerard McGovern.
