On Friday, 15 July 2011 the South African Air Force (SAAF) will be hosting a medal parade dedicated to its most senior members at Air Force Base Swartkop. Chief of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Carlo Gagiano will present medals to members of SAAF and other services and divisions.
Medals to be conferred include amongst others the, Good Service Medal (40 years), Good Service Medal and the bar to the Good Service Medal (30 years), Good Service Medal (Bronze). Recipients will receive medals and decorations for their sterling contribution to the Air Force’s mandate of ensuring that South Africa’s air space is secure and the people are and feel safe.
The parade will be attended by current and retired senior SAAF members.
