The South African Air Force (SAAF) will be hosting a Commissioning Parade on 15 June 2011 at South African Air Force (SAAF) College in Thaba Tshwane at 10h00. SAAF candidate officers will swell the ranks of officers.
The officer’s course is an introductory course for specialist fields such as piloting, engineering, navigators, air traffic controllers, mission controllers to mention but a few. Major General Gerald Malinga, General Officer Commanding of the SAAF Headquarters, will officiate at the parade. The parade will be graced by the presence of Deputy Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Mr Thabang Makwetla.
Candidate Officer (CO) Keorapetse Sefitlholo, aged fifty years (50), will be commissioned along with the first set of twins, namely CO Michelle and CO Yolandi Williams. The twins will continue with their pupil’s pilots training upon completion of the officer’s course.
