The Social Housing Regulatory Authority (SHRA) will on Thursday, 7 April 2011 launch the Social Housing Accreditation Register and issue certificates of accreditation to eighteen social housing institutions.
The issuing of certificates and the unveiling of the accreditation register is part of SHRA’s mandate to regulate social housing institutions and to manage the investment programme for social housing.
Over the past three years government has spend more than half a billion rand on social housing and remain on course to achieve the target of 25 000 units set in the next three years.
