As part of its developmental obligation to implement the Poverty Eradication Strategy in the North West province, the Department of Health and Social Development will continue its mandate in the most destitute rural Municipality of Ratlou.
The Minister of Social Development Bomo Edna Molewa will lead the campaign in Tshidilamolomo village in Ratlou Local Municipality.
The campaign aims bringing services closer to the people of Ratlou with the intention to ensure sustainable development. This campaign is geared specifically at reducing poverty in a developmental approach to achieve in making an endeavour to ensure that grants are liked to development programmes like health and education. The campaign will further ensure that citizens no longer travel long distances to access government services and also that households' profiles are undertaken to identify basic needs and to come up with relevant intervention programmes.
Minister Molewa will be accompanied by the North West Premier Maureen Modiselle and Health and Social Development MEC Rebecca Kasienyane.
