The Minister of Health Dr Aaron Motsoaledi and his Deputy Dr Molefi Sefularo have planned a site-visit for Madame Secretary Hillary Clinton in Pretoria this afternoon. The site-visit of the Cullinan Art Clinic facility will start from 15h30 to 16h45.
The activities of this afternoon will include a walk-about and a bilateral meeting between the Minister, Deputy and United States Secretary. This will be followed by informal brief statements by the US Secretary and Minister at the end of the tour, with limited questions permitted.

Press coverage: No media will be allowed to follow the Secretary and the Minister to their bilateral meeting or on their walkabout. However, the media (cameras), will be staged at the entrance to the clinic for photograph shoots on the arrival of the Secretary, then also at the walkabout veranda plaque event – see below but not at the two patient interviews (limited to the Secretary and the Minister alone), excepting for an official photographer. Then all media will be at the informal brief statements given by the Secretary and the Minister outside at the rear of the clinic at end of the tour, from two stand mikes, with limited questions and answers permitted.
15h15: Arrival of the South African dignitaries (the South African A-suite) : Health Minister, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, Deputy Health Minister, Dr Molefi Sefularo, Gauteng Provincial Health and Social Development MEC, Ms Qedani Mahlangu, Health Director-General, Mr Thami Mseleku and Health Deputy Director-General Dr Yogan Pillay, International Relations and Cooperation Director, Mr Fadl Nacerodien at the northern side entrance to the Cullinan ART Clinic, to be met by Foundation for Professional Development partner organisation involved with the Clinic, Dr Nkhensani Nkhwashu and Dr Gustaaf Wolvaardt.
15h30: Secretary Clinton [ten vehicle convoy] arrives at the side entrance to the Clinic, to be met by Dr Khensani Wolfhaardt and led to the gate entrance point, where she will be met by the South African A-suite
15h35: Performance by local choir, while the Secretary and the Minister listen and then go up to members of the choir for handshakes and greetings, in the back courtyard area of the Clinic
15h45: Secretary Clinton (plus her A-suite – Assistant Secretary of State, Mr Johnny Carson, Ambassador Eric Goosby US Global AIDS Co-ordinator, the Charge d'Affaires of the USA Embassy in South Africa, Ms Helen La Lime, the USA Ambassador–designate to South Africa, Mr Donald Gips (previously an Adviser to the Secretary) and the South African A-suite, are taken to Boardroom 2 for private discussions, led by Dr Khensani Nkhwashu and Ms Clarotti (Refreshments are served )
15h45: The other attendees are escorted to, and held in, boardroom one by Dr Gustaaf Wolvaardt including Congresswoman Lowe and Congreeman Payne for their briefing and refreshments.
16h10: Only Secretary Clinton and Minister Motsoaledi are led to be stationed in front of a map of PEPFAR/FPD treatment sites in South African, treatment indicator charts and the Clinic Plaque, for a media photograph opportunity, outside on the Clinic corridor, with other members of the South African and American A-suites at the sides of the map and plaque positions, then through an inside passage to meet two patients, person's living with HIV
16h15: Only Secretary Clinton and Minister Motsoaledi are led by Dr Nkhensani Nkhwashu, to meet with two patients first a woman patient from a referral clinic, then a male patient from the Cullinan Clinic, for personal testimonies and photographs while other members of the A-suites are led out the rear entrance of the Clinic to the outside area where voluntary counselling and testing (VCT) tents and a VCT mobile clinic are stationed as a backdrop for the later media statements by the Secretary and the Minister.
16h30: All other attendees are able to visit the VCT tents and the VCT mobile unit in the open area. (Refreshments are served)
16h35: Secretary Clinton and Minister Motsoaledi are led outside to the rear of the Clinic, to be stationed on a carpeted area with standing mikes for their respective brief [two minute] press statements Secretary Clinton first, to be followed by Minister Motsoaledi both A-suites are at their respective sides at a distance that permits singular photograph shoots of the two principals.
16h40: All other attendees leave the Clinic precinct area while the members of the South African and American A-suites accompany the Secretary and the Minister to the VCT tents and VCT mobile unit
16h45: Minister Motsoaledi and the Secretary are led toward the Clinic rear gate area and they bid farewell to one another on the carpeted area where they gave their respective media statements.
16h45: Parties depart the Cullinan Art Clinic as gumboot dancers perform
