Select Committee on Petitions and Members' Legislative proposals on release of Mr Fusi Mofokeng and Mr Joseph Mokoena

The National Council of Provinces’ Select Committee on Petitions and Members’ Legislative Proposals will brief members of the media tomorrow, Wednesday 13 April on the release of Mr Fusi Mofokeng and Mr Joseph Mokoena who were released from prison recently after serving 19 years. 

Mr Mofokeng and Mr Mokoena were convicted of murder in 1993, under the doctrine of common purpose, despite maintaining their innocence. They will attend deliberations of the Select Committee on Petitions and Members’ Legislative Proposals about their petition tomorrow, Wednesday 13 April.
