The Select Committee on Appropriations will embark on an oversight visit to five municipalities in Gauteng from 21 to 24 August 2012.
The Committee will engage the identified municipalities on issues such as municipal cash flow financial status, sources of revenue, collection and expenditure management and compliance with the Municipal Finance Management Act. The Committee will meet with municipalities’ mayors, municipal managers, chief financial officers, and councillors.
Five municipalities to be visited are: Emfuleni, Randfontein, Mogale City, City of Tshwane and City of Johannesburg.
