The North West FIFA Confederation Cup host City of Rustenburg is scheduled to meet members of the Safety and Security Works team from the City of Cape Town at the Rustenburg Traffic Offices at 10h00 this morning.
The team arrived in Rustenburg yesterday for a seven days visit to gain experience pertaining the planning and operational execution of the safety and security plans for the Confederation Cup.
The thirteen-member delegation led by Louw Visagie, head of integration and co-ordination of safety and security within the City of Cape Town consists of Metro police, law enforcement, traffic ,disaster management, fire and rescue services,107 public emergency call centre and close circuit television(CCTV) officials.
The officials will be paired with their counterparts at the venue, joint and mobile command operational centres for the first match, i.e. the New Zealand vs Spain game to be played at Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Sunday, 14 June and South Africa vs New Zealand on Wednesday, 17 June 2009.
