Rural Development pays homeage to class of ’76

The Department of Rural Development and Land Reform joins millions of South Africans and the international community, in commemorating the 35 years anniversary of the 16 June. This is happening in honour of the contribution that the youth made in the struggle for liberation. As part of its celebrations in June, the department has lined up various activities.

Thirt-two National Rural Youth Service Corps (NARYSEC) participants from Sokhulume area will also be included as part of the days’ programme to showcase the programme. Partners that will be involved in the career awareness include NARYSEC, Gauteng Provincial Shared Centre, Human Resources Development, Social Technical Rural Livelihoods and Institutional Facilitation (STRIF), Deeds Registry, Spatial Planning and Information, National Geo-spatial information, Cadastral Surveys, Communications and Women, Children and Persons with Disabilities
