Rural Development holds a Communal Property Associations (CPA) workshop

Members of the media are invited to cover an Eastern Cape leg of workshops by the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform on Wednesday the 31 October 2012 and Thursday the 1 November on Communal Property Associations (CPAs) in East London. These workshops are in preparation for the National CPA workshop which will be held in Gauteng from the 9 – 10 November 2012.

Communal Property Association representatives and relevant stakeholders throughout the province are expected to attend. Discussions around the Communal Property Associations Act 28 of 1996 will form part of the core business of the workshop. Naturally, challenges and the successes of the Act will be debated.

Other provinces like the Free State and the Northern Cape have already held their workshops.
