The MEC for Limpopo Provincial Treasury Mr David Masondo will be hosting a roundtable discussion on 10 November 2011, at the Ranch Hotel in Polokwane. Seasoned Economists from different fraternities, i.e. the banks, agriculture, universities, labour, etc, within the economics discipline have been invited to make presentations.
The topic for this discussion will be "The impact of the Global Financial and Economic crisis on South Africa: Where do we stand and where to from here?"
This roundtable discussion is the first of many to come; it will introduce a working relationship between MEC Masondo and the economists, where the MEC will have a pool of knowledge producers, where he can always seek advice in terms of furthering his attempts to make the department the best provincial fundraiser, allocator, monitor and evaluator of the public finances for socio-economic development in South Africa.
