Public Protector Adv Thuli Madonsela will tomorrow release finalised investigation reports at a media briefing in Pretoria.
Among the reports to be released is one that centres on complaints of maladministration against Midvaal Local Municipality in Gauteng and another on an investigation into allegations of improper conduct by the Department of Public Service and Administration and the Government Pension Fund regarding the privatisation of the Venda Pension Fund.
The Midvaal investigation followed a complaint to the Public Protector about, among other things, an alleged appointment of one company as the sole provider of legal services to the Municipality for the last 30 years without proper procurement procedures.
The Public Protector will also give a progress report on current investigations. The briefing will take place as follows:
