Public Protector Advocate Thuli Madonsela will on Wednesday, 13 April 2011 between 9h00-16h00, brief the Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Justice and Constitutional in Cape Town.
The briefing will be on the Public Protector South Africa’s (PPSA) Budget Vote and the 2011-2014 Strategic Plan through which PPSA looks to deliver on its Constitutional mandate.
The Public Protector will be accompanied by the Deputy Public Protector Advocate Mamiki Shai, Chief Executive Officer Themba Mthethwa and heads of units in the PPSA.
Also, as mandated by the constitution to be accessible to all persons and communities, the Public Protector will conduct an outreach clinic in Parliament where investigators from the institution will receive complaints regarding government services and conduct from the public.
The Public Protector calls on those who wish to lodge complaints or report suspected improper conduct to bring supporting documents to assist in the investigations.
