Public Protector and Commission for Gender Equality to commemorate 16 Days of Activism in George

Public Protector Adv Thuli Madonsela and the Chairperson of the Commission for Gender Equality Mr Mfanozwele Shozi will on Friday commemorate the annual 16 Days of Activism against Gender related Violence campaign in George, Western Cape.

The event is collaboration between the two Chapter 9 institutions and will be held in under the theme: "From Peace in the Home to Peace in the World: Proliferation of small arms and their role in domestic violence"

The event will be followed by a Fun Walk to also commemorate 16 Days of Activism against Gender related Violence organised by the George Local Municipality. Former Springbok player Chester Williams will be part of the Fun Walk
