Public Protector Advocate Thuli Madonsela will brief the Portfolio Committee on Justice and Constitutional Development on her strategic plan, annual performance and budget.
The briefing will take place as follows:

The Committee’s briefing will be followed by a media conference at which the Public Protector will release finalised investigation reports, which include among others:
- A report on an investigation into alleged irregular appointment of the Special Advisor to the Minister of Defence and Military Veterans.
- A report on an investigation into alleged abuses of power and maladministration by the department of Home Affairs in respect of an application for the renewal or extension of work and other permits by Mr M Van Hillegondsberg and family and
- A report on an investigation into alleged unlawful and unconstitutional funding of political parties by the Moqhaka local municipality in the Free State.
The Public Protector will also announce her decision on whether or not to investigate complaints regarding Head of Crime Intelligence Division, Lieutenant-General Richard Mdluli. She will also give a progress report on current investigations and provisional reports issued.
