The MEC of Health in province, Mr Mxolisi Sokatsha, hereby invites all media to the official launch of the provincial tuberculosis (TB) contact tracing campaign in Kimberley, Frances Baard District, Northern Cape province.
The high burden of TB in many developing countries makes TB control a priority public health concern that must be addressed through the primary health care network. The fight against TB, HIV, AIDS and STI cannot be the sole responsibility of one sector, one department, one ministry or one organisation.
The Northern Cape Department of Health and the Northern Cape Provincial Government believes a partnership is a key in our efforts to deal with the challenge of TB in the province. The fight against TB is the responsibility of us all.
We call upon all citizens of the province to support the campaign and ensure we all contribute to our fight against TB.
Working together, we can do more!
