The MEC for Health, Ms ES Mabe cordially invites you to the provincial
HIV Counseling and testing event
Details are as follows:
Date: 30 April 2010, 08h00 to 16h00
Venue: Lesedi PHC Community Health Centre (follow directions from Boitumelo Regional Hospital) Kroonstad, Fezile Dabi District
What: Testing of HIV and AIDS, TB, Diabetes, Glucose, blood pressure and other diseases will be done during the event.
Why: The purpose of this is to ensure that all South Africans take full responsibility for their health for a healthy society and nation.
Theme: “I am responsible, we are responsible and Free State is taking responsibility”
How: The informal program starts at 07h30 with a health walk (three kilometres) from the Phumelong Shopping Complex to the testing stations at Lesedi Community Health Centre where testing will start at 08h00.
The formal program includes:
* Remarks, testimonials and information presented by members/ representatives from the Provincial Council on AIDS, South African National AIDS Council (SANAC), National Association of People with AIDS (NAPWA) and the national ministry.
* MEC TM Manyobe, Acting Free State Premier, will deliver the keynote address.
* Before the actual testing for HIV, individual confidential counselling will be provided to all guests, including Members of the Free State Legislature, the Executive Council, Local Government, Heads of Departments, Community Leaders and the community
