The Deputy Minister of Communications, Mr Obed Bapela will be hosting a press briefing on the outcomes of the Regulation of Interception of Communications Act (RICA) Campaign on 29 June 2011 at the Protea Hotel Midrand.
The Deputy Minister has in the last few weeks embarked on a campaign to drive the Regulation of Interception of Communications Act (RICA) and reminding communities of the nearing deadline. The Deputy Minister has travelled to various parts of the country to encourage and educate the South Africans on the importance of RICA.
The Deputy Minister will meet with the mobile operators in the morning of 29 June to discuss the process, outcomes and the way forward. After that meeting members of the media will be informed and updated on the outcomes of the meeting.
