Parliament: The Minister of Finance Mr Pravin Gordhan, will present the Medium Term Budget Policy Statement (MTBPS) to Parliament on Tuesday, 27 October 2009.
Journalists who are not members of the Press Gallery Association (PGA) and who wish to cover Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan's address to Parliament are required to send their details to Nolizwi Magwagwa on 021 403 2465 or at nmagwagwa@parliament.gov.za, copying erandall@parliament.gov.za by no later than Monday, 19 October.
Details required are: Full name, ID/passport number, name of media organisation, designation (writer, photographer, for example), telephone number, and cellphone number.
Media who wish to broadcast from the grounds of Parliament should also provide: Make of vehicle(s), registration number(s), number of vehicles, other equipment, and time of arrival.
Please note that all documentation related to the MTBPS will be available on the National Treasury website (http://www.treasury.gov.za) when the Minister starts his address to Parliament, at around 14h00 on 27 October.
