Government of South Africa invites members of the media to the Presidential visit to Groutville (KwaDukuza), to witness the Sustainable Energy Access to Communities initiative, as part of the COP17 Demonstration Project, “One Village Energy Solutions”.
The event will bring together representatives of the Government of South Africa including President Zuma, Dr Yumkella - the Director-General of United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), Ministers Ms Dipuo Peters - Energy, and Mr Pravin Gordhan – Finance, the Premier of KwaZulu-Natal, Dr Zweli Mkhize, Mayors of Municipalities, and other high level representatives of foreign governments, multilateral organisations and community leaders especially those from KwaZulu-Natal province.
The event is organised by the Department of Energy as one of the Energy programme Side Events at the Conference of Parties (COP17).

Venue: Dr Vilakazi School, Groutville and Recreation Grounds, KwaDukuza (KwaZulu-Natal).
