Presidential Summit on Job Creation postponed due to AU meeting in Addis Ababa

President Jacob Zuma’s Presidential Summit on Job Creation has been postponed from 10 to 18 March due to the African Union’s (AU) Peace and Security Council meeting on Côte d’Ivoire to be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on the same day.

President Zuma leaves Pretoria today, 8 March for Addis Ababa to attend the African (AU) Peace and Security Council meetings scheduled for 9 to 10 March 2011. 

The AU High‐Level Panel for the Resolution of the Crisis in Côte d'Ivoire, of which President Zuma is a member, is to present a report to the AU PSC on the work they have been doing towards the resolution of the Cote d’Ivoire impasse.

The Panel represents the five Regions of the Continent and is composed of the leaders of Burkina Faso (West Africa), Chad (Central Africa), Mauritania (North Africa), South Africa (Southern Africa), and Tanzania (East Africa).

President Zuma will return to South Africa on Thursday, 10 March 2011.
