President Jacob Zuma will tomorrow, on Thursday, 8 September, convene a meeting of the Presidential Infrastructure Coordinating Commission.
The July 2011 extended Cabinet Lekgotla decided that a Presidential Infrastructure Coordinating Commission should be established to provide oversight, monitor and ensure speedy delivery of infrastructure projects around the country.
The Commission is chaired by the President, with the Deputy President as deputy chairperson.
It includes Ministers with responsibilities for infrastructure development, premiers and metropolitan council mayors.
