President Jacob Zuma will on Friday, 19 October 2012, host the Presidential Infrastructure Investment Conference in Sandton.
During the State of the Nation Address in February this year, President Zuma outlined South Africa’s vision for infrastructure development and placed it at the centre of Government’s work for the next few years.
The conference will showcase the Infrastructure Plan, identify how government will deal with key challenges as well as consider partnership opportunities within the Plan and its 18 Strategic Integrated Projects.
It will also be a platform for engagement with investors and other stakeholders, looking at issues that include the funding needs, skilling the labour force, generating jobs as well as facilitating the growth of local businesses and industries.
We wish to invite members of the media to attend the plenary session of the Conference, which will be followed immediately by a media briefing. All breakaway sessions will be closed to the media.
