President Jacob Zuma will on Wednesday, 7 October 2009, officially launch the Presidential Hotline.
It was initially unveiled as a pilot project on 14 September 2009. The last few weeks have been spent ironing out logistical and technical glitches.
President Zuma in his State of the Nation address committed that this administration will ensure that it improves communication with the public and deal effectively with service delivery blockages. The hotline forms part of the Presidency’s public liaison facility.
The Presidential hotline will serve as the last point of call for all South African citizens who after having explored all means within the government system to raise either a service delivery concern, requesting government service information or to complain about poor service levels by civil servants.
