President Zuma visits Western Cape on the Siyahlola Presidential Monitoring Programme

President Jacob will on Friday, 24 August 2012, visit Cape Town, in the Western Cape province as part of the Siyahlola Presidential Monitoring Programme that the President undertakes in all provinces to ascertain progress being made on various government priority areas.

The President’s Monitoring visit to the Western Cape will focus on the assessment of basic services as well as government’s crime prevention and crime combating efforts.

This is President Zuma’s first hands on, on-site monitoring of government performance in the delivery of services to Cape Town and surrounding communities. In the past, the President has visited a number of areas in different provinces including Limpopo, North West, Eastern Cape and Gauteng.

President Zuma will be accompanied by a delegation of Ministers for social services, economic development as well as peace and stability clusters.
