President Jacob Zuma will tomorrow, Friday, 30 July 2010 attend the National Farm Workers' Summit in Somerset West, Western Cape.
The summit is the culmination of similar forums which have been held in the provinces this year to address the working and living conditions of farm workers.
It is an opportunity for farm workers and their representatives to present their views on the challenges they face in their working and living environment.
The summit will consolidate these views and the information obtained in the provincial summits into a comprehensive policy to improve the conditions of farm workers.
Various government departments are involved in the summit, including Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; Labour; Health; Education; Housing; and Social Development.
