President Jacob Zuma to receive Presidential Stamp

President Jacob Zuma will on Tuesday, 10 November 2009 be presented with the new Presidential Stamp by the South African Post Office (SAPO).

As the inaugurated President of South Africa, President Zuma is the only living person who can be depicted on a stamp. This is in accordance with the stamp issuing policy. The stamps will be made available for sale to the public immediately after the official handover.

Details of the handover are as follows:

Date: Tuesday, 10 November 2009
Venue: Union Buildings, Media Centre
Time: 11h00 (media are requested to arrive at 10h30)

NB: There will be a video-link to Cape Town, Imbizo Media Centre, 90 Plein Street.
