President Jacob Zuma to officially open Mkhuphula One-Stop Development Center

President Jacob Zuma will on Wednesday 30 November 2011 lead a senior government delegation to the opening of the Mkhuphula One-Stop Development Centre in Msinga, Northern KwaZulu-Natal.

President Zuma will be supported by Ministers of Home Affairs and Social Development, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma and Bathabile Dlamini respectively, Premier Dr Zweli Mkhize, the Mayor of Msinga Counsellor FJ Sikhakhane and other MECs from the KwaZulu-Natal provincial government.

As part of delivering on its social contract with the electorate, all tiers of government, are committed to ensuring citizens have access to services. In this regard government has, amongst others, prioritised the expansion of its rural footprint.

The opening of a new One Stop Development in rural KwaZulu-Natal, gives expression to government’s commitment to bringing services closer to the people in line with a cooperative governance model.

The uMkhuphula One-Stop Development Centre will therefore be home to, amongst others, the Departments of Social Development and Home Affairs.
