President Jacob Zuma will on Monday, 17 August 2009, deliver a keynote address at the official launch of the Comprehensive Rural Development Programme (CRDP), Muyexe Village, Greater Giyani Municipality, Limpopo province.
The comprehensive rural development is a national project of government, with the department of Rural Development and Land Reform as a catalyst and a facilitator to ensure rural development takes place at the required depth and scope. The programme will facilitate, processes to address the specific and prioritised needs of the communities in rural areas, ranging from running clean water, decent shelter to proper sanitation and enterprises development support; based on the three strategic pillars: Agrarian Transformation, Rural Development and Land Reform.
Central to delivering CRDP programme is community participation and needs identification, programme development and service delivery monitoring.
Amongst the deliverables, the programme has promised, for example in Muyexe, employment of at least one person in each household of 900 in Muyexe with quality jobs and training for a period of two years.
President Jacob Zuma will be accompanied by Cabinet Ministers, Premier of Limpopo Cassel Mathale and other senior government officials.

Take N1 or R101 road into Polokwane.
N1 changes into Grobler Street in town.
Drive out of the town through Grobler Street.
Drive past the two traffic lights of Savanah Mall.
On the third traffic light after passing Savanah Mall turn to your left.
Drive till the T junction and turn right toward Giyani/Modjadjiskloof.
At Moeketsi turn to your left towards Giyani.
Drive into Giyani town.
