President Jacob Zuma to chair the inaugural Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Council meeting

Please note: President Jacob Zuma will take time off to rest 4-5 February, following a hectic schedule.

Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe will deliver the opening address at the inaugural meeting of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Council (BBBEE) at the Presidential Guest house today, 4 February 2010 at 11h00.

President Jacob Zuma will chair the inaugural meeting of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Council (BBBEE) in Pretoria on Thursday, 4 February 2010.

President Zuma appointed the council in December 2009 in terms of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Council Act number 53 of 2003. This will be the first meeting of the council since their appointment on 3 December 2009.

Members of the media are invited for opening remarks by President Zuma and a photo opportunity as follows:
