President Jacob Zuma to attend Commonwealth meeting

Pretoria: President Jacob Zuma will today Wednesday, 25 November, depart for Port of Spain, Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting.

President Jacob Zuma will lead the South African delegation and will be supported by Foreign Affairs Minister, Ms Maite Nkoana-Mashabane. This year's meeting takes place under the theme; "Partnering for a more equitable and Sustainable Future" from 27 to 29 November. The Heads of Governments meeting will be preceded by a meeting of Foreign Ministers on the 25 November.

Top on the meeting's agenda is report of the Ministerial Action Group, the Global Economic situation its impact on small states and vulnerable states and the reform of international institutions. The meeting is also expected to discuss matters of climate change and youth issues.
