President Jacob Zuma and Minister of Energy, Ms Dipuo Peters invite members of the media to the launch of special electrification projects and other rural development initiatives in Nkandla and uMlalazi Municipalities as part of the Masibambisane Rural Development Initiative.
Other projects in the area include the production of staple diet crops such as maize and dry beans which help fight malnutrition and poverty as well as improving the standard of living in these communities.
A representative contingent of ministers from various government departments is expected to attend the event. This includes Ministers of Rural Development, Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Public Enterprises, Economic Development, Social Development and many others.
