Presentation of 2012/13 DEDEAT Policy Speech at the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature

The Eastern Cape MEC for Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism (DEDEAT), Mcebisi Jonas will deliver a policy speech for 2012/13 at the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature, Raymond Mhlaba Chamber on Thursday, 22 March 2012.

DEDEAT has been at the forefront in crafting and implementing responsive strategies to salvage the economy of the province which was severely affected by the economic crisis. In addition, climate change, poverty and employment still remain the key challenges that need intervention through implementing sustainable initiatives and vigorous resource mobilisation from all stakeholders.

With the recent investment announcements in the province and the relentless efforts to encourage the industry to exploit the consistent government policies, the Eastern Cape still remains poised as a destination with abundant opportunities and is a major role player for economic growth and development.

As a valuable stakeholder, you are hereby invited to the presentation of the DEDEAT policy speech which will be presented as follows:
