Tomorrow, 14 October, Premier Helen Zille will present a paper at the Democracy Development Programme's 6th Annual Conference in Durban. The theme of the two-day conference is "Provincial governance and development in South Africa post 1994: quo vadis?" The conference will look critically at the performance of provincial government in terms of fulfilling its constitutional responsibility as well as in terms of its record of governance since 1994.
Premier Zille will be presenting her paper on the first day of the conference. The topic of her paper is "Provincial Governance and Development - Review of the South African Experience".
