Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane, accompanied by MEC for Roads and Transport Ismail Vadi, will tomorrow, 4 August 2011, address the media on the findings of the Auditor General around alleged tender irregularities at the Department of Roads and Transport.
Early this year, MEC Vadi requested an investigation into the awarding of certain tenders by the Departmental Adjudication Council (DAC). The investigation focused on the procurement processes in respect to 13 tender awards, which were decided on between 1 September and 15 December 2010.
