Premier Modiselle’s message to all the learners within the schooling system is that children are to be in school on time and learn. Educators are to be in school on time and teaching. Learners are to say no to drugs and dangerous weapons in schools.
It is out of this understanding that the Premier of the North West province will be at Ntowe Primary School on 13 January 2010 at 08h00 and Mokgareng Primary School at 11h00 to witness firsthand how schools in the Greater Taung area will be prepared on the very first day of schooling.
If there is to be any significant progress in 2010 within our provincial schooling system it will be important for success to be achieved on the very first day of schooling.
It is also a day on which effective teaching, classroom management, positive learner feedback, classroom management, discipline in class, following of school rules can be evaluated on the very first day of schooling.
This evaluative act is important for the whole of the schooling year and for the entire educational system to the extent that it is through an activity of Premier Modiselle visiting the schools in this area of Greater Taung that a new tone will be set for the whole of the 2010 school year.
Each teacher is expected to be on task and at work on the very first day of schooling, looking into how they are going to manage their classrooms, how they are going to improve on their teaching and the learner’s learning achievements, and how to reshape the learners and parents expectations in 2010.
