Premier Mabuza and MEC Manana address closing ceremony of 16 Days of Activism for no Violence Against Women and Children

Mpumalanga Premier David Mabuza and Community Safety, Security and Liaison MEC Sibongile Manana will encourage communities around Driefontein to act against abuse on women and children for at least 365 days.

The campaign which started on 25 December 2009 promotes awareness about reporting any form of abuse to police stations and other civil society groups.

Government departments held numerous events throughout the province to create awareness on gender based violence.

This year’s closing ceremony has been arranged as follows:
