Eastern Cape Premier Ms Noxolo Kiviet and the provincial Members of the Executive Council (MECs) will on Wednesday, 28 to 29 April 2010 visit the northern areas in the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan municipality. The purpose of the visit by Premier Kiviet is to assess service delivery and interact with communities in the northern areas.
The visit by Premier Kiviet comes after a number of socio-economic challenges facing the northern areas community were identified.
On 28 April 2010, Premier Kiviet will start her programme by visiting Booysen Park High School at 13h00. The following day, 29 April 2010 Premier Kiviet will resume by visiting elderly people at number 12 Stuurman Street, in Bethelsdorp at 12h30. She will then address the community of the northern areas at Finnis Street Sport stadium.
